Man Sentenced to 23 Years in Fatal Ambush Shooting in Baden Neighborhood
August 25, 2025

ST. LOUIS, MO  (August 25, 2025) — Taheim Davis, 26, pled guilty Monday to second-degree murder, armed criminal action, and first-degree assault for a 2022 shooting in the Baden neighborhood. A judge sentenced him to 23 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

On August 3, 2022, Davis and two co-defendants stopped on Halls Ferry Road and fired multiple shots at a vehicle carrying three men. Gunfire struck 25-year-old Tijean Bow in the head, and he later died. Gunfire also struck a 30-year-old man in the back, and he survived. The third occupant was not injured. Surveillance footage captured the ambush, and Davis was arrested wearing clothing that matched the suspects.

“Gun violence destroys lives and destabilizes entire neighborhoods,” said Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore. “This conviction brings a measure of justice for a senseless act that took a life, injured another, and put the public at risk. Our office will continue to pursue these cases to protect the people of St. Louis.”

Davis has a 2017 conviction for second-degree robbery and a pending unlawful possession of a firearm case in St. Louis County.

Special Assistant Circuit Attorney Gordon Ankney and Assistant Circuit Attorney Andrew Costello prosecuted the case.

The case number is 2222-CR01162-01.
